Text Box: Do you know someone who has expressed an interest in becoming Catholic? Have you thought of becoming a Catholic yourself? If the answer to any of these questions is “yes” or “maybe,” call Raymond at 505-821-1571 for more information about the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). RCIA classes meet Thursday evenings in the Parish Library at 6:30 PM.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults has its roots in the ancient Church, reaching back through the close of the First Century. RCIA is ultimately about adult conversion and faith formation in a welcoming community.  Adults experience our community, have opportunities to participate in scripture study, church teaching, faith sharing, friendship with a sponsor or godparent, and in the rituals that mark their progress toward becoming an active and practicing Catholic.

Our January LYN collection is Non-Perishable food items to be given to the Roadrunner Food Bank.  Your generous donations help those who are hungry in our community.

When you’re choosing items please remember that if you won’t eat it, you shouldn’t share it.

We know that many adults did not celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation as teens either by choice or circumstance, Risen Savior offers an adult program during the Spring Lenten season.  We will meet one evening a week for 6 weeks beginning March 3rd.  Registration is required.  Please call Deacon Mark for more information or to register.

This program is for adults who have been raised and catechized in the Catholic faith; have graduated from high school; have celebrated the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation and Eucharist; are familiar with the church’s basic teachings and beliefs; and are currently registered at a parish.
