Annual Catholic Appeal

Rebuild My Church

Each year, the Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) blesses us with the opportunity to live our faith and to practice the virtue of charity by sharing resources to assist people who are in great need. Each gift to the ACA supports numerous ministries throughout the Archdiocese.

We are a Stewardship Archdiocese. The goal of Christian stewardship is to help God’s people grow in their relationship with Jesus and his people through the grateful giving of our time, talent, and treasure in thanksgiving for God’s many blessings. We are all given the same amount of time and are blessed with various talents, both of which we should use wisely to bless the communities in which we belong. However, with over 2,000 verses in the Bible about money and possessions, or treasure, one of the most important steps to consider is how to become an ‘intentional giver’, one who is willing to look at his/her treasure and then prayerfully and intentionally decide what should be set aside to support the church and for charity. The ACA is a way for Catholics to practice stewardship of treasure by supporting the ministries, programs, and services of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe.

Ways to Give:

Check or Money Order: Payable to Annual Catholic Appeal

On-line: Donors can donate online their Visa, American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or via e-check by visiting our secure online donation site.  While there, you may also arrange for automatic monthly payments.

Gifts of Stock: A gift of stock is another way to contribute to the ACA. These gifts may allow donor tax benefits, including eliminating capital gains tax that would be due if they sold the stock independently. Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) from an IRA may be diverted to ACA with possible tax benefits for such a gift. Donors should review the tax impact of such gifts with their financial advisor. For additional information about making a gift of stock, please contact the Annual Catholic Appeal Foundation at 505.831.8155, or visit our website.

United Way and Matching Gifts: Some employers have matching gift programs, which provide employees the opportunity to enhance their charitable contributions. Donors should contact their company’s Human Resource professional to determine if your company participates in a Matching Gift Program.

The Archdiocese of Santa Fe entered into Chapter 11 reorganization during the first week of December 2018. The Annual Catholic Appeal Foundation is NOT part of the Chapter 11 filing. ACA is separately incorporated and funding is not available for legal claims. ACA remains a significant source of funding for the ministries, programs, and services of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe throughout this process and beyond. Christ’s loving work must endure through this. Thank you for continuing to support these efforts. Thank you for your participation in giving to the many ministries the Annual Catholic Appeal.
